Hunter Abbott

HA

Hunter Lee Abbott will graduate from Carlisle High School in 2025. He is the proud son of Donna and William Fergerson and the loving brother of Kaitlyn Pruner, Isaac Fergerson, and Taylor Glover. One of Hunter’s favorite things with his family is watching late-night cop shows, a tradition that brings them all together. A cherished childhood memory of his is going to see Iron Man 3 in theaters with his father when he was just six years old.

During his time at CHS, Hunter has been involved in Sports and Floral Design. Although he doesn’t have a specific favorite high school memory, he has enjoyed the journey and the people he’s met along the way. His favorite class was with Mr. Ricks, whose passion for teaching made history interesting again for Hunter. “He loves what he does, and I respect that,” Hunter shared.

Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games and singing, where he can let loose and be himself.

If three words could sum up who Hunter is, they would be “big-hearted,” “respectful,” and “tired.” After graduation, Hunter plans to attend KG College to major in Criminal Justice. His dream is to one day become a sheriff and serve his community with pride and dedication.

Ja’kiveya Adams

JA

Ja’kiveya Patrice Adams will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Anna Rettig and a big sister to Brooklynn Porter. Her favorite activities to do with her family are playing softball, basketball, and Uno. One of her favorite childhood memories is always forgetting Mrs. Lori’s name in middle school.

Throughout high school, Ja’kiveya has been involved in softball (2021–2022). The activity she enjoyed most was softball because it helped her understand what it takes to be a team with the people you can call family on the field. One of her favorite high school memories is having parties in Mrs. Gipson’s classroom. The class she enjoyed the most was Mrs. Gipson’s room because she is becoming a CCMA, and she gets to do some hands-on stuff and learn how to treat her patients. Her biggest pet peeve is when people are walking so slowly and smacking loud. Outside of school, Ja’kiveya enjoys listening to music, hanging out with her cousin, and learning something new. If she had one wish, it would be to move to Miami, Florida, because she dreams of working there in a hospital.

The three words that best describe her are energetic, loving, and bold. After high school, Ja’kiveya plans to get her nursing degree and get into a good healthcare system. In ten years, she sees herself living in a nice house and having fun with her best friends. Three things on her bucket list are to have a friend’s vacation, get married to a nice, wealthy person, and explore the world. The person she admires the most is her cousin Nicole because she’s the one who made her believe that she could help people and become a nurse. She also looks up to her little cousin Mi’Kaiya because she is so talented and has the most beautiful soul she has ever met.

The coach who had the biggest impact is Coach Carter, because he always wanted her to live up to her potential, make her dreams come true, and believe that anything is possible if she puts her mind to it. The thing Ja’kiveya will miss most about Carlisle High School is sleeping in class, the drama in class, school fights her freshman year, and talking to her friends and teachers. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be for making someone smile, brightening up their day when they are feeling down, and being the best friend that someone could ask for.

The advice Ja’kiveya Adams would give underclassmen is:
“Never be fake. Just be honest with yourself and keep pushing through high school.”

Cesar Alvarado

CA

Cesar Alvarado will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. He is the son of Mario Sanjuan Alvarado and Irene Alvarado, and the brother of Lizbeth, Arturo, and Mario Alvarado. His favorite activity to do with his family is sitting down in the living room and just talking about what they’ve been up to and how life is treating them. One of his favorite childhood memories is when he and the other kids in his neighborhood would go outside every day and play football, soccer, hide and seek, and tag. He also enjoyed when they would build fires when it was cold and just talk together.

Throughout high school, Cesar has been involved in Athletics and Ag. He participated in Athletics during his freshman and sophomore years and has been involved in Ag throughout his entire high school career. The activity he enjoys most is Ag because he loves working with his hands and building things. One of his favorite high school memories is when Trent crashed the drone—it had him laughing super hard. The class Cesar enjoyed the most was Government/Economics because he appreciated how down-to-earth the teacher was, how he taught, and how he prepared students for life after graduation. One of his biggest pet peeves is when people chew loudly near him. Outside of school, Cesar enjoys fishing with his friends and relaxing in bed. If he had one wish, it would be to become super wealthy so he could help his family and the people around him. The three words that best describe him are nice, quiet, and smart.

After high school, Cesar plans to attend TJC and transfer to the University of North Texas or Texas A&M to continue his major in business. In the future, he sees himself either owning his own company or being in a leadership position at a major company. Three things on his bucket list are traveling the world, going on a deep-sea fishing charter to catch bluefin tuna, and attending a professional soccer game. The person he admires most is his dad, who taught him how to be hardworking. His dad came from Mexico with nothing and now has a house, a car, and a family—something Cesar deeply respects.

The teacher or coach who had the biggest impact on him was every teacher and coach he had. Each one played a role in helping him become the best person he could be. Cesar will miss most about Carlisle High School is not having to worry about the challenges adults face in the real world.

If there were one way he could be remembered at CHS, it would be as someone who was kind, quiet, and helpful to others.

The advice Cesar Alvarado would give to underclassmen is:
“Be yourself and don’t try to be someone you’re not—and in being yourself, don’t be obnoxious.”

Ruby Andradae

RA

Ruby Estrella Andrade will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Roberto Camacho and Benita Andrade and the sibling of Ramiro, Roberto, Jorge, Dylan, Yessenia, Maria, Jasmine, Alicia, Allison, Sol, and Heidi.

Her favorite family activity was when she and her family would always go out together. One of her favorite childhood memories was going into the woods to build clubhouses, play hide and seek, and play volleyball and soccer with family and friends. Throughout high school, Ruby has been involved in Volleyball (2021–2024), Basketball (2021–2024), Yearbook (2021–2025), and the Health Science Club (2022–2023). She has received awards such as Student of the Month (2021) and A/B Honor Roll (2021–2025). The activity she enjoyed the most was playing volleyball with her team. Even though they had both good and bad games, they always had fun playing together. Her favorite high school memory was going to her brother’s games, taking pictures of him playing, and watching Madi play, too.

The class she enjoyed the most was English because Sandra and Angel were always arguing like they were married—she said it was like watching a love show. Her biggest pet peeve is when people don’t mind their own business. Outside of school, Ruby enjoys playing volleyball and taking pictures of sports. If she had one wish, it would be to be rich—because if she were rich, she wouldn’t have to worry about money in any situation.

Three words that describe her are: always mad, short, and very talkative. After high school, Ruby plans to attend TJC (Tyler Junior College) and study phlebotomy. In 10 years, she sees herself working as a phlebotomist or possibly becoming a full-time photographer.

Three things on her bucket list are: going to Hawaii, helping her family get their legal documentation, and taking her dad to Mexico to see his mom. The person she admires most is her mom, who has always been there for her when she needed someone.

The teacher who made the biggest impact on Ruby's life is Mrs. Carter. She never let Ruby give up and always pushed her to accomplish things she didn’t think were possible. What Ruby will miss most about Carlisle High School is bothering Mrs. Tutt and Mrs. Carter, and never being in class! One way Ruby would like to be remembered is for always being the loud one, yelling at people in the hallways.

Her advice to underclassmen: Always turn in your work on time and never miss a day of school on purpose.

Madilyn Bathke

MB

Madilyn Nicole Bathke will graduate from Carlisle High School in 2025. She is the daughter of Meagan Tutt and Lance Tippitt and the sister of Myleigh Cox and Hatley Tutt. Her favorite family activity is going on vacations with her stepdad’s sister and niece. One of her favorite childhood memories is always saying, “I can’t wait to grow up and be a senior.” Now that the time has finally come, she wishes she could be a little kid again.

Throughout high school, Madi has been involved in Athletics, FFA, FCA, NHS, and has taken dual credit classes. In athletics, she played volleyball for a short time during her freshman year, played basketball all four years, ran track all four years, and has been a cheerleader all four years as well. She has been a member of FFA and FCA since her freshman year and joined NHS during her junior year. While in FFA, she held an officer position her sophomore year, and in FCA, she held an officer position all four years of high school.

Madi has received several awards. In cheer, she received the All-State Cheerleader award her junior year, was named FCA Cheerleader her senior year, and earned Academic All-State. She made school history in her freshman and sophomore years at competitions and continued to compete throughout her junior and senior years. In basketball, she received the Workhorse Award in her junior year and advanced to the playoffs. In track, she also earned the Workhorse Award in her junior year and went to Area with three other girls for the 4x1 relay. In FFA, she participated in the local county show and made the sale twice—once in her freshman year in Creative Arts and again her senior year with Roberto Camacho in Ag Mech. During her senior year, she also took part in the Houston Livestock Show with chickens and the Houston Ag Mech Show.

The activity she enjoys most is athletics. Whether it’s cheer or off-season workouts, she never fails to have a good laugh with the girls around her. Some days she may dislike the workouts, but she always enjoys the laughs and conversations. One of her favorite high school memories is trying out for the high school cheer team and making it. Ever since then, her passion for cheer has grown. The class Madi enjoyed most was Ag because she learned valuable lessons both in the shop and through the personal skills developed while showing projects or animals.

Her biggest pet peeve is when she’s talking to someone or a group, and they interrupt her, ignore her, or talk over her. Outside of school, Madi enjoys watching movies at home, going to work, or shopping. If she had one wish, it would be to never have to worry about money, especially for her expensive habits or car. The three words that best describe her are caring, compassionate, and smart.

After high school, Madi plans to attend Tarleton State University and major in Kinesiology. After college, she plans to attend PT school to earn her license in Physical Therapy. In 10 years, she sees herself (hopefully) finished with school and starting her dream career. She also hopes to be settled down and begin her own little family, surrounded by many animals, of course.

Three things on her bucket list are visiting Bora Bora, traveling to Italy, and becoming rich so she can afford to visit both.

The person she admires most is her mom, who has taught her almost everything she knows in life. Her mom helped her grow into the young woman she is today and was always there for her, whether she needed advice or help with dual credit classes. Madi appreciates everything her mom has done, even if her mom doesn’t always realize it.

The teacher/coach who had the biggest impact on Madi is Coach Roland. No matter the time of day, if he saw you in the hall, he’d always take time to talk or check in. He was never afraid to tell her how she was doing, good or bad, or how much she meant to him. Coach Roland saw potential in Madi that she didn’t even see in herself. No matter how her race turned out, he was always there to say “Good job.”

Madi will miss most about Carlisle High School are the pep rallies and cheering under the Friday Night Lights. If there’s one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as someone who never wanted anyone to feel left out. She always tried to be kind, even to those who weren’t kind to her.

The advice that Madi would like to give underclassmen: “Don’t pick your personality based on your friends. Be yourself, and you’ll find out who your true friends really are.”

Thank you to all my teachers, coaches, mentors, and friends for making my senior year the best one yet. I’m so glad my mom made me move here in 6th grade—because if it weren’t for her, I don’t think I would have been able to do any of the things I do now.
Thank you, CISD.

Roberto Camacho

RC

Roberto Camacho "Tin, Tin" will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. He is the son of Roberto Camacho and Griselda Camacho, and the brother of Ramiro Camacho and Paula Camacho. His favorite activity to do with his family is going fishing. One of his favorite childhood memories is when the sawmill in his neighborhood caught on fire in the middle of the night.

Throughout high school, Roberto Camacho has been involved in athletics for four years and Ag for four years. The activity he enjoys the most is fishing, because even if he doesn't catch anything, he enjoys the peace of nature and spending time with friends and family. One of his favorite high school memories is when he and his team got into a fight at a soccer tournament. The class he enjoys the most is Ag because he has learned a lot, and the teachers have pushed him to do things outside of his comfort zone.

His biggest pet peeve is when people are yelling in the cafeteria when it's peaceful and quiet. Outside of school, Roberto enjoys having cookouts with his family and going out to eat with his girlfriend’s family.
If he had one wish, it would be for the lights to turn off every day at school so everyone could leave early. The three words that best describe him are: funny, energetic, and smart.

After high school, Roberto Camacho plans to attend TSTC for welding. In the future, he sees himself as a very successful welder and hopes to start his own business.

Three things on his bucket list are building his dream home, traveling to all the different national parks, and buying his parents their dream house.

The person he admires the most is his brother, because at a young age, he’s already living the life he wants—he owns two trucks and built them exactly how he wanted.

The teacher who had the biggest impact on him is Mrs. Macie Wagstaff, because she pushed him to do a lot of things and was always by his side.

The thing Roberto Camacho will miss the most about Carlisle High School is not being able to play football and compete for a state championship.

If there’s one way he could be remembered at CHS, it would be as the class clown.

Miranda Diaz

MD

Miranda Jizehl Diaz will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School and is the daughter of Esteban and Obdulia Diaz. Her sisters are Estefany and Jaquelyn Diaz. Her favorite activity to do with her family is to travel to Mexico and have a good time! In 2023, she was selected for the Girls Track and Field Super Elite Team, and she was part of the Marching Band State Champion team from 2020 to 2023.

The activity Miranda enjoys the most is cheerleading because it has had a huge impact on her life. She says it has truly shaped her into the person she is today by teaching her valuable life lessons. One of her favorite high school memories is when the football team played Shelbyville and Trent Eaves caught a ball over a kid’s head and almost made a touchdown. Miranda ran to the end zone and celebrated with him. It was all caught on film and was a very special and epic moment for both of them. The class Miranda enjoyed the most was Mr. Lykins’ class because it was always so much fun. He greeted everyone with a smile every day—“IYKYK.” Her biggest pet peeve is when teachers give busy work! Outside of school, Miranda enjoys sleeping, eating, and spending time with loved ones. If she had one wish, it would be for kids to live a happy childhood filled with love, kindness, and joy. Three words that best describe Miranda are determined, adventurous, and ambitious.

After high school, Miranda plans to attend the University of Texas at Tyler for two years and then transfer to the University of Texas at Austin to earn her BSN. While in college, she also plans to get her cosmetology license.

In the next ten years, she sees herself being a stay-at-home mom with two kids, living in Montana, owning a beauty salon, and living her best life.

Three things on her bucket list are traveling to new places, volunteering for missions, and giving back to her family. The person she admires the most is her sister Estefany because she has worked so hard for everything she has and always gives back to people. Miranda says, “I hope one day I get to be half the woman she is.” The coach who had the biggest impact on Miranda is former Coach Spikes. She helped her through a lot, was always there no matter what, and knew when something was wrong. She was genuinely the best coach. She showed Miranda what a true coach is, and Miranda will always be thankful for her. The thing Miranda will miss most about Carlisle High School is cheerleading. There’s just something about cheering behind a whole town that will always have a special place in her heart.

If there’s one way Miranda would like to be remembered at CHS, it would be that no matter what time it was, she was always hungry.

The advice she would give to underclassmen is to never give up. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and always remember that God comes first.

Miranda would like to say, “Thank you to all my teachers for keeping up with me. I know I can be a lot sometimes!”

Goodbye CHS!

The thing Trent will miss most about high school is seeing his friends every day in the hallways. If there were one way he could be remembered at CHS, it would be as Spider-Man.

The advice Trent would give to underclassmen is: Be yourself, and you can only help others if you’ve helped yourself..

Her biggest pet peeve is when people chew gum like a literal cow—in general, she dislikes loud chewing sounds. Outside of school, Cindy enjoys shopping and spending quality time with her mom. If she had one wish, it would be to get her parents out of working and provide everything for them, because they’ve always done everything in their power to give her everything she’s ever wanted.

The three words that best describe her are feisty, sweet, and determined. After high school, Cindy plans to attend the University of Texas at Tyler to pursue a degree in the medical field, specifically as a neonatal cardiologist. In the future—or in ten years—she sees herself married and financially stable enough to become a stay-at-home mom with one child and her own business.

Three things on her bucket list are buying her parents a house, traveling the world with her husband, and owning her own business. The people she admires most are her parents because they are some—if not the most—influential and hardworking people she’s ever met. They have taught her to always aim to be the best and never take anything for granted. The teachers and coaches who had the biggest impact on Cindy are Mrs. Baz and Coach Tutt because they were always there for her during the hardest patches of high school. The thing Cindy will miss the most about Carlisle High School is all the memories she created with her friends. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as the one girl who was always complaining about doing her work but still got it done… #W–Crashout!

The advice Cindy would give to underclassmen is:

Make the most out of your high school experience. Make many new friendships, as these connections can last a lifetime. Don’t stress too much about your grades—just stay on top of your assignments and you’ll be good. Lastly, remember to enjoy the little moments, as they’ll create some of your best memories. High school flies by faster than you think, especially your senior year.

One of her favorite high school memories is from the first football game of senior year. Allison and Monce were sitting in the bleachers with their instruments when it suddenly started pouring rain. They were told to run to the buses. Allison carried both of their instruments while Monce carried a Buc-ee's blanket. As Allison was heading to the bleachers, she noticed Monce was still sitting down, struggling with the soaked blanket that now weighed at least 10 lbs. The wind wasn’t helping. Allison rushed to help her, and after several minutes, they finally made it to the bus safely.

The class Allison enjoyed the most was Mrs. Liles’ class because it brought her closer to her classmates. She loved how the class was filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. Her biggest pet peeve is when people drag their feet while they walk. “Pick up your feet!” Outside of school, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, sleeping, makeovers with her little cousins, messing with her little sister, and listening to music during car rides. Allison would like to thank Mrs. Carter for everything. The thing Allison will miss most about Carlisle High School is seeing the people she grew up with every day. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be for being the loudest band member!

The advice Allison would give to underclassmen is: “Do not stress out! Enjoy high school while you still can.”

Para mi familia:
Les quiero agradecer por todo lo que han hecho por mí. Su apoyo y confianza en mí han sido mi gran motivación. Gracias por estar siempre a mi lado y por darme la fuerza para seguir adelante. He has also played Football for four years, including three years on varsity, and Soccer for three years. The activity he enjoyed most was hanging out with his friends during class because they would just relax, lay down, and chill. One of his favorite high school memories was when all the guys in high school grouped together and horseplayed all day—they even left a big dent in the bush beside Mr. Ricks’ class.

The class he enjoyed the most was his sophomore year in Mrs. Liles’ class because all his friends were in there. They would always mess around and get in trouble, and he enjoyed it so much because he was always the one getting caught. Outside of school, Christian enjoys backroading with the guys and hanging out until the next morning. If he had one wish, it would’ve been to have the same coaches for his last year of football as he had in eighth grade or freshman year, because they made him love the game and they would’ve won more games.

The three words that best describe him are chill, funny, and HIM. After high school, Christian plans to major in finance, become a certified CPA, and "make bank." In the future, or in 10 years, he sees himself married with at least two kids, living in his dream house with his beautiful wife and his dream truck.

Three things on his bucket list are going to New York during Christmas, seeing a Junior H concert, and exploring the world. The person he admires most is his grandma because she teaches him how to be a better person in a harsh world and always makes sure he leaves her house with a full stomach. The teacher who had the biggest impact on him is Mrs. Guidry because she always encouraged him to do better, both in and out of school. He never once felt like she doubted his ability to overcome challenges. The thing he will miss most about Carlisle High School is his freshman and sophomore years because those were the years he became closer to his friends, started going out more, and football was especially fun during that time.

If there is one way he would want to be remembered at CHS, it’s as the person who didn’t care what anyone thought—if he said he was going to do something, he did it without hesitation.

The advice Christian Garza would give to underclassmen is:
If you love football, give it your all and never take it for granted. Make the most of every season and don’t settle for less. Most importantly, never second-guess yourself—go after what you want with confidence.”

Erik’s favorite activity to do with his family is to have cookouts. One of his favorite childhood memories is when he went on a zoo field trip. He was in a group with his friends, and they stopped to look at the gorillas. He and a friend began to argue, and his friend jokingly pushed him over the rail into the gorilla pit, which made him cry.

Throughout high school, Erik has been involved in FFA (2021–2025) and athletics (2021–2025). During his freshman year, he earned First Team All-District honors as a linebacker. The activity he enjoys most is playing video games with his brother Alex because they get competitive.

He enjoyed it because he played alongside his senior friends, and they made a deep run into the playoffs. The class Erik enjoyed the most was 5th period with Coach Lafitte, where he was placed with his friends and got to build things to take to shows. His biggest pet peeve is when people stare at him while he’s trying to do his work. Outside of school, Erik enjoys going out to Grand Slam to bowl with his girlfriend and friends. The three words that best describe him are energetic, quiet, and chill. After high school, Erik plans to pursue a career in safety and become an entrepreneur. His goal is to become rich and retire his parents. In the future—or in 10 years—he sees himself either working in pipeline safety or running his own business.

Three things on his bucket list are to retire his parents, buy a house, and have his own business.

The person he admires most is Hermanos Espinoza because his music motivates Erik to work hard and make money. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Erik is Coach Ronnie Hendrix, because he taught him to learn from his mistakes and to keep his head up when things aren’t going his way.

He was also a member of the Health Science Club (2021–2022).

The activity he enjoys most is spending quality time with family and friends. One of his favorite high school memories is running track with his brother during his sophomore year and spending time with him, as it was his brother’s last year of high school.

The class Ivan enjoyed the most was Mrs. Whiteside’s, because she was always willing to help everyone in any way and would go out of her way to do whatever she could for her students. His biggest pet peeve is when people tell him what to do. Outside of school, Ivan enjoys sleeping, eating, and being anywhere but at home. Living in the city will open many doors and create many job opportunities for him.

Three things on his bucket list are to travel to all 50 states, build his dream house, and also build his mom her dream house. The people he admires the most are his brother Roberto and his mom. They both push him to achieve his goals and are always there when he needs them. The former coach who had the biggest impact on Ivan is Coach Rocky, because she inspired him to be the person he is today. She supported him in everything he did. The thing Ivan will miss most about Carlisle High School is walking the halls.

If there were one way he could be remembered at CHS, it would be for the time he dressed as Mr. Ricks during Homecoming Week.

The advice Ivan would give underclassmen is to prioritize your academics, explore your interests, and build strong relationships with both peers and teachers, while also remembering to balance it all and take care of your well-being.

Thank you, CHS, for all the unforgettable memories.

Kelly Garza

KG

Kelly Ruby Garza will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School and is the daughter of Ruben and Domenica Garza and the sister of Monica, Estephany, and Julian Garza. One of her favorite high school memories is when she and her friends Alesha, Yezmin, Cindy, Berenice, and Josue would play Among Us and Mash the week before Christmas break in every class they could. The class Kelly enjoyed most was her CCMA practicum class because of all the things she and her friends would do and talk about. Her biggest pet peeve is when people think they are all that. She also hates it when people talk negatively about her family and friends.

Outside of school, Kelly enjoys sleeping and watching TikTok. If she had one wish, it would be to be rich to help her parents out. Three words that describe her are kind, passionate, and understanding. After high school, Kelly plans to pursue a degree in the dental field. In the future, or in 10 years, she sees herself with a husband, a house, and at least 1 kid. The person she admires most is her mother because she is always there when Kelly needs her, has shown her right from wrong, and not to judge others. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Kelly is Mrs. Carter because she has always pushed Kelly to be better and to keep working towards her goals. The thing Kelly will miss most about Carlisle High School is all the memories she made with her friends and being in the same classes as them. If there were one way she would be remembered at CHS, it would be as the girl who was understanding, and that would help others out when she could.

The advice Kelly would give underclassmen is “You won't have the same friends you had your freshman year, as you get older people change and you will start seeing their true intentions, dont worry about little things because in 10 years none of that is going to matter, and don't let the people you hangout with change the way you are.”

Taryn Goss

TG

Taryn Goss will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Travis and Lacey Goss and the sister of Jaxon and Corbin Goss. One of her favorite high school memories is when she won Best Dressed during HOCO Week, because dressing for the themes is her favorite thing to do.

The class Taryn enjoyed the most was Mr. Lykins’ science classes because she learned a lot, had fun, and it made her feel prepared to take prerequisite science courses for nursing. Her biggest pet peeve is when people yell at her and don’t let her talk. Outside of school, Taryn enjoys reading, baking, and hanging out with her friends. If she had one wish, it would be to have the opportunity to become a doctor for free. She would love to be a doctor, but she doesn't want the debt that comes with it.

The three words that best describe her are ambitious, motivated, and organized. After high school, Taryn plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In the future, or in 10 years, she sees herself working a job she actually loves and putting her degree to use somewhere besides the hospital, living in a house she built, and maybe having a husband, but no kids. Three things on her bucket list are to get a dolphin tattoo in the Bahamas, swim with sharks in Queensland, and skydive or bungee jump.

The person she admires most is her mother, Lacey, because she pushes her to what she knows Taryn is capable of and keeps her in check. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Taryn is Mrs. Gipson, because she tries her best to do everything for the students to be prepared for their future health careers. She is also a happy, smiley person who will brighten your day, and she’ll never let you feel stupid for asking for reassurance or what something is.

The thing Taryn will miss most about Carlisle High School is Mr. Duncan's grace period because she was always running late to first period since she needed a Dr. Pepper.

If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as the best student ever!

The advice Taryn would give underclassmen is: DO THE DUAL CREDIT! It may be hard, but it is worth it!

Kasey Hart

KH

Kasey Leigh Hart will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Kristan and Greg Hart and the sister of Clayton and Aubrey Hart. Her favorite activity to do with her family is going to stock shows and raising animals. One of her favorite childhood memories is when she was 8 years old at a show—she punched a girl in the face, and now they are best friends.

Throughout high school, Kasey has been involved in sports, FFA, NHS, Student Council, FCA, Club Volleyball, ETREYS Leadership Camp, and Band. She has participated in varsity volleyball for four years, varsity basketball for three years, varsity softball for three years, and varsity track for four years.

In volleyball, she received several awards, including 1st Team All-District, 2nd Team All-District, 2nd Team All-State Academic Honors, and All-District Academic Awards. In varsity basketball, she earned Academic All-District and District Honorable Mention. In varsity softball, she received Academic All-District recognition. In track and field, she was an Area Qualifier, Regional Qualifier, District Champion, and recipient of the THSCA Super Elite Track Award. In FFA, Kasey has won multiple Grand Champion titles with chickens, sale-making pigs, goats, and lambs, as well as shop projects. She has also shown at several major livestock shows throughout Texas and currently serves as the Carlisle FFA President. The activity she enjoys most is Ag. She loves missing school to hang out with her friends and show family, and she especially values supporting those who support her. Kasey loves showing animals and appreciates the opportunity to be part of a growing industry that helps make the world go round.

The class Kasey enjoys the most is lunch, because she loves food. Her biggest pet peeve is when people overlook the fact that everyone comes from different circumstances. She believes it’s important to take the time to understand others' experiences and show empathy. It can be disheartening when people let their status or possessions make them feel superior, rather than treating everyone with kindness and respect."

Outside of school, Kasey enjoys showing animals, reading, and hanging out with friends. The three words that best describe Kasey are Green, Beautiful, and Smart. After high school, Kasey plans to attend college to earn a degree in Biology and eventually become a cardiologist. Her long-term dream is to move to Montana and live on a ranch. In 10 years, Kasey sees herself living in Montana, married with one to two kids, living in her dream home, and making bank.

Three things on Kasey’s bucket list are visiting five different countries, becoming a cardiologist, and visiting the best national parks and aquariums. Although Kasey loves most of her teachers! The thing Kasey will miss most about Carlisle High School is—nothing. She is more than ready to spread her wings and move on.

If there's one way Kasey would want to be remembered at Carlisle, it would be for her athletic abilities and her leadership both in and out of school. She enjoys being a role model to younger kids, especially in FFA, and takes pride in being a leader for them and for her teammates. She wants her team to grow stronger together and work as one.

The advice Kasey would give to underclassmen is: Don't be soft. In the world we live in today, nothing is easy, and not everyone is nice. Don’t be the kid who gets offended easily and can’t take things and roll with them. Life isn’t easy, but don’t be afraid to be yourself. Not everyone is going to like you, and that’s okay. Don’t spend all of high school trying to fit in with people who won’t matter to you in four years. It’s always okay to be yourself.

With that being said, high school wasn’t always easy for Kasey, and not everyone liked her—and that’s okay, because she has always stayed true to herself. At the end of the day, the only person truly in your corner is yourself, no matter what others may say. Kasey knows she won’t miss high school, no matter how many people say she will. She can’t wait to leave and move on to bigger and better things.

Three things on Erick’s bucket list are to become wealthy, help meet his family’s needs, and continue playing soccer. The person he admires most is his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because He is the reason Erick is still here today. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Erick is Mr. Clifton. He brought Erick back to Carlisle after Erick was forced to move to New Summerfield. Mr. Clifton also helped Erick stay on track academically by talking to his teachers about his grades. Whenever Erick was failing a class, Mr. Clifton would take him to his teachers for extra work so he could pass. The thing Erick will miss the most about Carlisle is being part of the band and the soccer team. If there’s one way he wants to be remembered, it’s as Carlisle’s best baritone of all time.

One of her favorite high school memories has been the chit-chats she had with Mrs. Amber during sixth period. The class Jessica enjoyed the most was any class taught by Mr. Lykins because he never got frustrated and explained very complicated concepts in a way she could understand. Her biggest pet peeve is when people talk over teachers and don’t care to learn. Outside of school, Jessica enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, and listening to or watching various podcasts. Three things on her bucket list are to travel to Iceland and Switzerland, to own and remodel old homes, and to visit the Seven Wonders of the World. The people she admires most are her parents because they work so hard to allow her to do everything she loves. No matter what crazy ideas she has, they always support her and show her that no matter how much—or how little—you have, it’s important to always be willing to help others and stay open to new experiences.

The teachers who have had the biggest impact on Jessica are Mr. Jones and Mr. Ricks because they have seen her through different eras of her life. They have never been the type to judge her—even though Mr. Ricks often did (but not in a mean way). They always offered an ear to listen and helped her through tough times by giving her advice. The thing Jessica will miss most about Carlisle High School is seeing her friends every day.

If there’s one way she would like to be remembered at CHS, it’s for doing everything she wanted and being true to herself, all while staying kind and welcoming to everyone.

The advice Jessica would give to underclassmen is: Never leave anything to chance. If you think you might regret not joining that club or not attending that get-together, don’t think twice—just do it. There will never be another time like high school, so enjoy it to the fullest and do everything you can and want to do. Lastly, always remember that life is too short not to take advantage of it and make the most out of it.

One of her favorite high school memories is attending the pep rallies. She loved seeing the elementary students happy and the entire student body coming together to support the cheerleaders and football team.

The class Marisol enjoyed the most was English II because she and her classmates were always laughing and getting in trouble. She especially will remember when Mrs. Liles asked the class a question, and Christian Garza said, "Jesus is always the answer."

Her biggest pet peeve is when people interrupt others while they are talking. Outside of school, Marisol enjoys reading, listening to music, and sleeping. If she had one wish, it would be to see her grandmother one last time. The three words that best describe her are sassy, short queen, and adventurous.

“I just want to thank my siblings for always being my support system and for always being there whenever I need y’all. And lastly, I want to thank my parents for sacrificing everything for me and my siblings and for always supporting us.”

The person she admires the most is her aunt De’Angela because she is the blueprint of inspiration. The aid and coach who had the biggest impact on Alesha are Mrs. Lori and Coach Jerod Roland, because they pushed her throughout her high school career and helped shape her into the person she is today. What Alesha will miss the most about Carlisle High School is the amazing friends she gained her senior year. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as the girl who was always LOUD and hungry.

The advice Alesha would give to underclassmen is to choose your friends wisely because you're going to need them to make it through high school. Also, it's okay to not be liked by everyone—just stay true to yourself

Jalesha Jackson

JJ

Jalesha Lanae Jackson will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School and is the daughter of Tenecia and Timothy Jackson and the sister of Alesha, Desiree, Tiara, and Tyreese. Throughout high school, Jalesha has been involved in the National Honor Society 2022-2025, Student Training 2023-2025, Track and Field 2022-2024, and Basketball in 2023. The activity she enjoys most is Student Training, because she likes being on the football field and seeing all the action and getting to help the players. One of her favorite high school memories is when she was at football practice, and she, Ivan, and Jessica were on the mule, and Ivan pushed her off, and she fell . The class Jalesha enjoyed the most was Mrs. Gipson's because she got to learn things that would help her in her future career. Her biggest pet peeve is the noise of nails scratching a chalkboard.

The person she admires most is her aunt because no matter how hard something is, she always makes it work. The teacher/coach who had the biggest impact on Jalesha was former Athletic Trainer Coach Rocky, because she always worked really hard and always handled things with a smile on her face. The thing Jalesha will miss about Carlisle High School is the football games and pep rallies. If there was one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as Jalesha, the sweet and quiet twin.

Sandra Lares

SL

Sandra Paola Lares will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Erasmo Lares and Maria Camacho and the sister of Daniela, Lizbet, Yessica, Alan, and Gennesis. Her favorite activity to do with her family is going out shopping and eating together. One of her favorite childhood memories is when her whole family would go fishing and then cook the fish afterward.

Throughout high school, Sandra has been involved in several activities. She was in band in 2021, 2022, and 2023, where she became a two-time and then a three-time state champion. In 2024 and 2025, she participated in ag, where she built a dog bowl and received a blue ribbon, and also built a vanity for Rusk County and received another blue ribbon. The activity she enjoys most is spending time with her boyfriend because he spoils her. One of her favorite high school memories is when she was a freshman and would share her snacks with her class. The class Sandra enjoyed the most was her ag class because she had a great time with her classmates. Her biggest pet peeve is when people take her snacks.

Outside of school, Sandra enjoys spending time with her family. If she had one wish, it would be to read people’s minds so she could know what others think of her. The three words that best describe her are talkative, energetic, and smart. After high school, Sandra plans to go to college to study cosmetology and real estate. In the future, or in 10 years, she sees herself being a stay-at-home mom.

Three things on her bucket list are to skydive, go to the beach, and try scuba diving.

The person she admires most is her mom because she is the hardest-working and kindest person. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Sandra is Mrs. Dakota, because she showed her that it’s okay to step out of her comfort zone. What Sandra will miss most about Carlisle High School is skipping class in the restroom. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be for always bringing snacks. The advice Sandra would give to underclassmen is to never skip class and to always have snacks.

A special thank you Sandra would like to give is to all her teachers throughout high school, as they each gave her different points of view in life. She especially wants to thank her teacher, Mrs. Dakota—she mentioned her before—but she has become a very important person in her life. Lastly, Sandra wants to thank her mom, who has always been by her side.

Moncerrath Limon

ML

Moncerrath Limon will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Irene and David Limon and the sister of David and Danniela Limon. Her favorite activity to do with her family is going to the movies and having dinner with everyone. One of her favorite childhood memories is spending every summer in Houston with her aunt and going to Galveston, where she would play on the beach with her cousins while the adults cooked out.

Throughout high school, Moncerrath has been involved in several activities including Band (grades 9–12), Twirling (grades 9–10), FFA (grades 9–12), Student Council (grades 9–11), NHS (grades 10–12), Mindset (grade 12), and Athletics (grades 9–10).

The activity she enjoys most is baking because it is therapeutic for her. She even turned it into a side hustle during her junior year to make some extra money. One of her favorite high school memories was when the band traveled to their first football game. She was sitting next to her best friend, Allison Garza, when it started pouring rain. As they scrambled to grab all their things, they realized someone had left their phone behind. When Monce leaned down to pick it up, she accidentally dropped Allison’s soaked Buc-ee’s blanket, which now weighed about 10 pounds from the rain. Struggling to carry everything, they finally made it to the band bus, where everyone was freezing due to the rain and lack of dry clothes.

The class Moncerrath enjoyed most was band, because she got to travel and go to football games with her friends. Her biggest pet peeve is when people think a problem doesn’t exist just because they’re privileged enough not to experience it. Outside of school, Moncerrath enjoys going out to eat with her best friend Allison and her boyfriend. If she had one wish, it would be to be rich so she could share her money with people in need.

The three words that best describe her are creative, passionate, and motivated. After high school, Moncerrath plans to attend UT Arlington to study criminal justice and eventually enroll in law school.

In the future, she sees herself being a successful lawyer with a big house, hopefully filled with many pets. Three things on her bucket list are visiting her family in Mexico, owning a Jeep, and traveling to different countries. The people she admires most are her parents, who have pushed her to pursue her dreams, supported her decisions, and made her the person she is today. The teachers who had the biggest impact on Moncerrath are the Wagstaffs. They encouraged her to become more involved in ag during her senior year and even take a project to the county show. They inspire her to go far in life and not stay in the same place forever.

What Moncerrath will miss most about Carlisle High School is seeing her best friend Allison every day and making memories with her, just like they have since Head Start. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be for her desserts.

The advice Moncerrath would give underclassmen is: Be yourself. Your time in high school isn’t very long, and there’s no point in wasting time being someone you’re not. Not everyone is going to like you—not classmates, not teachers, not even adults—and no matter how hard you try to make them like you, it won’t always work. And that’s okay.

Para mis padres:
Les quiero agradecer por todo lo que han hecho por mí en los últimos años. Sin ustedes, esto no fuera posible, y este logro es tanto de ustedes como es mío. ¡Los quiero mucho!

After high school, Jonathaon plans to attend college and become either a lineman or a welder. In the future, or in ten years, he sees himself being financially stable.

Three things on his bucket list are going to Mexico, going to Paris, and attending a soccer game. The person he admires most is Messi because he is the best at what he does. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Jonathaon is Mrs. Whiteside because she made learning easy and enjoyable.

The thing Jonathaon will miss most about Carlisle High School is playing around in class when there wasn’t any work to do. If there were one way he could be remembered at CHS, it would be as “The Tiktoker.”

The advice Jonathaon would give to underclassmen is: "Work hard, think smart, and never be afraid to find creative solutions."

Yezmin Martinez

YM

It was one of her favorite experiences because all her friends hung out in the hotel together and went swimming.

The class Yezmin enjoyed the most was Personal Fitness during her freshman year. Although it was a fitness class, there were only about six people in it, and most of the time they just ate snacks, making it one of her most relaxed and fun memories. Her biggest pet peeve is that every sink on campus is different.

Outside of school, Yezmin enjoys doing nails, reading, and spending time with her cousins. If she had one wish, it would be to have a lot of money so her parents wouldn’t have to work. The three words that best describe her are talented, creative, and smart.

After high school, Yezmin plans to attend Kilgore College to earn her Nail Technology certification. She also plans to get her Associate’s Degree in Business from a community college. In the future, or in ten years, she sees herself owning a beauty salon, being married, and having kids. Three things on her bucket list are to travel out of the country, travel on an airplane, and take road trips across the country.

The person Yezmin admires most is her mom because, although she has been through so many problems and letdowns in life, she is still the sweetest person with the most beautiful heart. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Yezmin is Ms. Guidry because she always motivated her to stay in band and pursue college. The thing Yezmin will miss most about Carlisle High School is her friends and classmates, whom she has loved growing up with since they were little.

If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as the school’s nail tech!

The advice Yezmin would give to underclassmen is: Be kind to everyone, no matter what.

Yezmin would like to thank her class for all the memories they’ve shared since they first met. She is thankful to have moved to Carlisle in second grade because her life turned out great, and she wishes everyone the best of luck and hopes they all find success in the wo

She has been a member of the National Honor Society from 2023 to 2025 and participated in student training from 2022 to 2025. The activity she enjoyed the most was student training because it inspired her for her future career. One of her favorite high school memories is prom day.

The class Emily enjoyed the most was Mr. Rasberry’s 5th-grade class because, after STAAR testing, they made slime in the lab. Her biggest pet peeve is when people try to talk to her right after she wakes up.

Outside of school, Emily enjoys serving, going on side quests, and hanging out with friends and family. If she had one wish, it would be that her family gets all they have ever wanted. The three words that best describe her are sincere, loyal, and candid.

In the future, or in ten years, she sees herself working her dream job, living in a nice house, and traveling the world.

Three things on her bucket list are attending all her dream concerts, visiting all the beaches, and, of course, landing her dream job. The person Emily admires most is Mac Miller because his music has spoken to her during difficult times.

The coach who had the biggest impact on Emily is former Athletic Trainer Coach Rocky because she always pushed Emily to do more. The thing Emily will miss most about Carlisle High School is student training during football season. If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as a kind person.

The advice Emily gives to underclassmen is: Do your work but make time for yourself and live—it's not that serious.

Mazie Palmer

MP

Mazie Jo Palmer will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Amy and Joshua Palmer and the sister of Bailey Fields, Angus, and Brody Palmer. Her favorite activity to do with her family is their yearly family vacation to float rivers in July. They started this tradition during their second year of living in Texas and have continued it since. This fun-filled family trip includes her parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. One of Mazie's favorite childhood memories is when, during the winter, all the parents and cousins would gather at the farm. They would tie a long rope to a sled and the other end to the back of a four-wheeler. Then, they would drive around in the fields to see who could stay on the longest or have the best wipeout.

Throughout high school, Mazie has been involved in Ag/Mech for two years, earning blue ribbons for the projects she and her friend, Monce Limon, built. Mazie enjoys Ag/Mech the most because she gets to build projects with Monce, and once the projects are completed, they hang out or help others with theirs. She also appreciates that when they show their projects, she gets to skip school with an excuse. One of her favorite high school memories is when she missed school to go on a cruise to the Bahamas with her family. They spent a week on a beautiful cruise ship with incredible views, visiting Nassau, Bahamas. They saw dolphins jumping through the water, collected souvenirs, and explored the breathtaking towns.

Mazie’s favorite class was her Ag/Mech classes during her junior and senior years. Both years, she had friends in the same period, making the class fun, even when the day felt never-ending. Whether it was someone horsing around or just joking around, they always made her laugh, which brightened her day. Her biggest pet peeve is when people chew and talk with their mouths full. The sound of smacking drives her crazy, and it makes her want to give them a light smack to get them to stop.

Outside of school, Mazie enjoys reading, taking walks, riding horses with her aunt occasionally, going to the movies with her siblings, hanging out with close friends, and, in the summer, volunteering as a helper/supervisor for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at her church in Troup. If she had one wish, it would be to bring her grandfather back. He passed away the year she moved to Texas, and she felt like she didn’t have enough time to say goodbye to him.

The three words that best describe Mazie are quiet, sweet, and funny. After high school, Mazie plans to attend school for Marine Biology and/or Veterinary Science. In ten years, she envisions herself with a family and working as a Veterinarian or Marine Biologist to support them. Three things on her bucket list are going to Greece, swimming with turtles in Hawaii, and going skydiving with her younger brother, Angus.

The person Mazie admires most is her mom. Despite the times when Mazie was difficult, her mom never gave up on her. She continued pushing Mazie to do her best and always made time to help, no matter how busy she was. Mazie loves her mom deeply for everything she's done and looks up to her more than anyone else. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Mazie is Mr. Ricks. He always made sure she understood everything he was teaching. Mazie never had to tell him when she was struggling because he could always sense it and would offer help. He encouraged her to think positively, and whenever she thought she was going to fail a test, he would remind her that such thoughts could lead to failure. When she received her test back, it would always be an A.

Mazie will miss her lunch period at Carlisle High School the most. Her table never failed to make her laugh. They would say the most out-of-pocket things, and Mazie loved it. She always said, "If you’re normal, you’re boring." If there were one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as a quiet, yet enjoyable person to be around.

Bryan Puente

BP

Bryan Puente will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. He is the son of Mayra Aguilar and the brother of Luis, Mya, and Jahir. One of his favorite activities to do with his family is visiting his grandparents' home and spending time with everyone there. A childhood memory he holds dear is going on school field trips to the zoo every single year for some odd reason—and now he enjoys looking back at the pictures that were taken during those trips.

Throughout high school, Bryan has been actively involved in football and soccer, playing both sports for all four years. In his junior year, he was awarded First-Team All-District for both offense and defense in football. Of all his activities, he enjoyed soccer the most. He humorously shared, “Because every time we lost, we would blame it on someone that never went in during the game.”

One of Bryan’s most unforgettable high school memories is from when the boys in the Class of 2023 brought fart spray and sprayed it on people and in the building. The smell was so horrible that Mrs. Moyers had to take her entire class to the library for the rest of the day. The class he “preferred the most”—though he says he didn’t exactly enjoy it—was Mr. Jones’ class. He explains, “If you have ever taken his class, you would know the vibe in there.”

Bryan's biggest pet peeve is when people talk way too much and don’t know when to stop, especially during first period. Outside of school, he enjoys partying with his classmates and making memories with people he has never met. If he had one wish, it would be to be rich, because he strongly believes that money is the key to happiness. The three words that best describe him are mysterious, hungry, and funny.

After high school, Bryan plans to work somewhere he can “get bread!!!!!!” In the future, he sees himself as a very handsome 28-year-old man with a beautiful wife. Three things on his bucket list are going to Spain, visiting the Mona Lisa, and meeting Junior H.

The person Bryan admires most is his mother, Mayra Aguilar, because she does everything for him and his siblings. When asked about a teacher who impacted his life, he says there wasn’t just one—he was cool with all of them. The thing he’ll miss most about Carlisle High School is the mashed potatoes with gravy served during lunch. He insists there was something about how they were cooked that made them ten times better than regular mashed potatoes.

If there’s one way Bryan wants to be remembered at CHS, it’s as Batman. His advice to underclassmen is, "Some of the best lessons come from taking a chance and learning along the way."

Berenice Reyes

BR

Berenice Reyes will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. She is the daughter of Domingo and Lucina Reyes and the sister of Misael and Aylin Rivera and Luis Reyes. She also made the All-Area Band for three years and was selected for the 2024 and 2025 ATSSB All-State Band, as well as the 2023 TMEA Honor Band.

As a member of the State Military Marching Band Champion group in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, she has consistently demonstrated excellence in music, earning the Most Outstanding Musician Award each year of high school. Academically, Berenice has advanced to regional and state levels in various UIL Academic Contests, including Spelling & Vocabulary, Copy Editing, Social Studies, and Current Issues and Events. She earned second place in the Academic Rodeo Mindset Breaking Experience Contest during her senior year and was awarded the Academic Rodeo Scholarship.

Berenice also has a strong passion for community service. She has volunteered at food banks, pet shelters, and even a camp for adults with special needs, accumulating over 200 hours of service. Of all her activities, she enjoys competing in UIL Academic Contests the most because they are fun, unpredictable, and push her to work harder. She credits UIL for helping her grow as both a student and a person, and even had the opportunity to compete at the University of Texas at Austin after advancing to the state level.

One of her favorite high school memories is making the All-State Band during her junior year. It was her first time achieving this milestone, and the school covered all her meals while she had fun exploring the city of San Antonio. The class Berenice enjoyed the most was first-period band each spring semester, where she loved playing challenging pieces for concerts and contests. Her biggest pet peeve is when people complain about or mistreat great teachers who are just trying to do their job.

Outside of school, Berenice enjoys sleeping, playing Minecraft, watching anime and old Minecraft YouTubers, listening to K-Pop, spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend, and goofing off at work with her friends. If she had one wish, it would be to never worry about school again. The three words that best describe her are competitive, timid, and dedicated.

After high school, Berenice plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University to earn a Bachelor's degree in nursing and later pursue a Master’s degree at either SFA or the University of Texas at Austin. She hopes to work in either labor and delivery or geriatric care. In ten years, she sees herself living in the Austin or San Antonio area, working as a nurse practitioner in a hospital, and owning a home with her soulmate.

Three things on her bucket list include achieving her career goals, owning a white or pink car with a completely pink interior decorated to her liking, and living in a beautiful home with her soulmate and her cats—Pluto, Amina, and Destroyer of Worlds.

The people she admires most are her parents, Domingo and Lucina Reyes, for standing by her throughout her life and supporting her with everything they have. They have taught her invaluable lessons that have helped shape her into a well-rounded individual. The teachers who had the biggest impact on her are Mrs. Peyton and Mr. St. Clair. They provided a safe space for her to grow and build bonds, helping her come out of her shell.

The thing Berenice will miss most about Carlisle High School is competing in All-Region contests, which motivated her to work hard, become a better musician and student, and pursue a stronger academic path. If there is one way she could be remembered at CHS, it would be as someone who was shy but worked hard and made a name for Carlisle in many areas.

Her advice to underclassmen is that it’s okay to take long naps after school and miss a due date every now and then.

David Zavala

DZ

David Enmanuel Martinez Zavala will be a 2025 graduate of Carlisle High School. He is the son of Kenia Martinez and the brother of Ashlie Martinez, Yeycoll Lindes, and Yeyrin Lindes. His favorite activity to do with his family is movie night because it brings everyone together and creates a cozy, shared experience. One of David’s favorite childhood memories is from his time back in his home country, where every weekend he would play soccer with his cousins and relatives—a tradition that brought him a lot of joy.

Throughout high school, David met many people, as he attended four different high schools during his educational journey. The activity he enjoys most is basketball, a sport he grew up playing alongside soccer. One of his favorite high school memories was the time he spent in culinary class, where learning was fun and engaging.

David’s biggest pet peeve is being ignored, as he values being heard and acknowledged. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing or working on projects, whether it's fixing up a car or building something like a small doghouse. If he had one wish, it would be to become president. The three words he uses to describe himself are considerate, smart, and brown.

After high school, David plans to start working. In ten years, he sees himself with a lot of money and enjoying the life he built for himself. Three things on his bucket list include traveling more, flying a helicopter, and owning a bar.

The person David admires most is Jesus, who serves as a powerful figure of inspiration and guidance in his life. The teacher who had the biggest impact on him was a kind older woman he met while attending AEP in middle school. She helped him improve his reading skills and sparked his interest in books. Sadly, she has since passed away, but her influence remains strong in his heart.

The thing David will miss most about Carlisle High School is the pizza served at lunch—it stood out as a simple pleasure in his school days. He’ll always remember CHS as a very strict school, something that left a lasting impression. His advice to underclassmen is to be mindful of others and refrain from gossiping
