Carlisle ISD

Carlisle ISD has been informed of a staff member who has tested positive for COVID. The staff member was last on campus on September 10. This staff member does not work in a classroom setting. The areas of the campus where the staff member had contact are being deep cleaned. Out of abundance of caution, we are asking all of the students and staff to continue monitoring their health, checking for symptoms, and following daily protocol. We wish this staff member a quick recovery.

We have approximately 25-30 HOME tickets remaining for the Varsity football game vs. Alto tomorrow night, Sept. 11, 2020. These tickets will be sold in the Administration building from 9am-2pm tomorrow. We will not hold tickets. It is a first come-first serve situation due to the limited amount of tickets remaining. There is a 3 ticket limit per person. Cash or check only. $5 per ticket.

The Junior High Volleyball game on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 has been moved to Carlisle vs. Union Hill beginning at 4:30pm . Tickets can be purchased online starting Friday, September 11, 2020 at 8am. Please visit our online tickets page, which can be found by going to the Menu tab on the CISD webpage, click Extra-curricular, and then click Athletics. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

We will have to make up the day of instruction that we lost due to closure caused by the potential weather threat from Hurricane Laura. Therefore, we will use September 21 for this purpose. Originally, September 21 was a scheduled professional development day for teachers. Now it becomes a regular day of instruction for students and staff. Junior High Volleyball Tickets and Varsity Football Tickets for this week are on sale now. To purchase tickets, go to the menu tab on the Carlisle website, select Athletics, Online Tickets. JH/JV tickets for the game in Alto are being sold in person this week. We will sell those tickets to the public on Thursday from 9am-2pm in the Administration building for $3 each. Please note: You must purchase a ticket prior to the game. Tickets will not be sold at the gate.

Tonight’s JV game at 5:30pm has been moved to Troup due to weather. All tickets purchased online will be honored by Troup.

Remember, you must purchase a ticket prior to the game for entry. Tickets will NOT be sold at the gate. Season tickets can also be purchased in the high school office for the remainder of the week. We have directly notified all staff who may have been in close contact. The staff member was last on campus on September 1, 2020. We are cleaning and sanitizing the areas of the campus where the staff member had contact. Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking all of our staff to continue monitoring their health and checking for symptoms on a regular basis. We wish the staff member a speedy recovery.

Elementary Virtual Students: Please view the last module for the Canvas orientation at https://carlisleisd.instructure.com/courses/872 for Friday, August 28 and submit your closure. Beginning, Monday, August 31st students will use the Canvas platform for instruction and attendance.

Tickets to the Westwood game will be available at our administrative office from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm tomorrow. You must get a ticket for entry to the game.

Carlisle ISD will close school tomorrow, Aug. 27, 2020, due to the likelihood of severe weather. At this time, we plan to resume classes on Friday if possible. The JV Football for tomorrow night vs. Westwood has been cancelled. The Varsity Football game scheduled for Friday night, Aug. 28, 2020 at Westwood will be played as scheduled. Please continue to monitor the school website as well as social media for updates.
