CHS Upcoming Events
First grade had a Master Gardener come visit today for the end of their plant unit! Ms. Jami quizzed them on the parts of plants and answered questions from students. She also showed students some plants she grew herself: zinnias, lilies, mint, basil, parsley, and tomatoes, and explained how we can grow our own plants for food and spices. Also, as a part of today’s lesson, students were able to plant their own wild flower seeds to grow themselves!!

ATTENTION SENIORS!!! If you have completed or plan to complete the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship, then you are invited to a Bucket Brigade hosted by the CVFD this Saturday at 8am. The event will be held at the 4-way stop in front of the high school. Breakfast will be provided. We hope you can make it!

Carlisle sent 10 8th graders to Region 7 today to compete in the Citizens Bee In A Box History competition. The first round consisted of 40 multiple choice questions with the Top 10 advancing to the oral question round. David Neeley and Sarah Anglin represented Carlisle in the top 10, with David Neeley winning 1st place and advancing to the virtual State competition on April 25th. #BeeInABox #HistoryRocks #Champs

Our Students of the Month are Mylan Martinez, Juan Diego Olvera, Texleigh Bishop, Roman Mendoza, Kole Martin and Giovanni Vargas. Student council volunteered today at the East Texas Food Bank in Tyler. They packaged 1,860 backpack snack bags that will go to children and 960 bags of beans and rice that will help 960 families. #StuCo #helpingothers #EastTexasFoodBank
