STAAR
Each year, thousands of young people are selected to attend Rotary sponsored leadership camps held in districts throughout the country. Groups of outstanding young people spend several days in a challenging program of leadership training, discussion, inspirational addresses, and social activities designed to enhance personal development, leadership, and good citizenship. The official name of this activity is the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).
This year's participants from the Henderson Rotary Club were: Ivan Garza & Jessica Hernandez.
Both students attended a leadership camp in February, and joined the Henderson Rotary Club this afternoon to talk about their experiences!
