Coach Ralson's World Geography students went beyond borders and created a global map with a twist! Instead of just defining countries, they delved into governments and migration patterns, sparking insightful discussions.
FAFSA Night is coming up in just one week! Here are some important reminders about this event. First off, a quick update - we will serve Chick-fil-A instead of pizza.
1. Both Student & Parent MUST create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) account at studentaid.gov in order to submit the FAFSA.
2. Parents must have their 2022 tax returns to complete their portion of the FAFSA -OR- they can link their FAFSA directly to their tax return.
3. Students will receive a confirmation email from the US Department of Education once their FAFSA is submitted. That email should be forward to Mr. Duncan to satisfy the state graduation requirement.
4. Students & Parents may complete the FAFSA on their own if they wish.
5. FAFSA Night is designed to help students/parents successfully navigate and complete the FAFSA. We're here to help!

ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS - A letter is going out with information about our upcoming FAFSA Night on Feb. 7th. This event is designed to help seniors and their parents submit the FAFSA required for college. We will have Financial Aid personnel from Kilgore College available that night to answer questions and guide you through the FAFSA application. If you cannot attend the FAFSA Night, you can still complete the FAFSA at home with your child, or you can come see us for additional assistance. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Arctic intrusion is still on the way. Please remember the 4 P's, People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants. An ongoing progressive pattern across the Four State Region will support the development of strong to severe storms Thursday evening/Friday AM as a cold front pushes through the region.
The attention then turns to dangerously cold temperatures and possible winter precip by the end of the weekend.
Mr. Richards would like to take this opportunity to mention that we have an excessive number of jackets in the Lost and Found area at the Junior High. This would be an opportune time to make sure those find their way back to their owners before the weather hits.
In observance of MLK Day, there will be no school on Monday, January 15th.
ATTENTION 2024 SENIORS!!!
FAFSA Night is scheduled for Wed. Feb. 7th from 5PM-7PM in the Carlisle Cafeteria. Pizza will be served! This event is to help students and parents complete the FAFSA for college. To attend, parents and students must have completed their FSA ID. Remember, completing the FAFSA is a graduation requirement. There will be a drawing for $100 gift cards for students/parents who attend. Hope to see you there!
